The Lindfield A team has been participating in the top flight of the MSSL for many years. This year sees a change of captaincy with Stuart Harsant taking over from Mick O’Donnell. Other members of the team are Nick Lindup, Marcus Isaacs, Steve Blanch and newcomer Chris Carter. The A team are looking to better last years seventh place finish and have made a strong start to the 2008/09 campaign beating Mark Coles’ Clayton A team 3-2 and Mark Bright’s USC E team 4-1. Surely Stuart couldn’t have dreamed a better start to his captaincy career?
Stuart (Captain)
Widely regarded as the Lindfield Club’s best player and on his day is arguable one of the top 5 players in the Mid Sussex league. Stuart didn’t have a good record last season so is out to prove a point this year.
Marcus
Former Ansty player who is very solid and incredibly tough to beat. Marcus proved this recently in the Lindfield Club tournaments by becoming the first player in 70 years to retain his Snooker Championship title.
Mick
Former captain who gave up policing the team (and also the beat) last year.
Nick
Another A team stalwart who can always be relied upon to contribute a strong win percentage for the team. Nick finished last season as the A team’s top performing player.
Steve
Nicknamed Stance by his teammates Steve loves his snooker and will always give 110%. After a poor campaign last year Steve as started well and has some good scalps already this year.
Chris
The 2008 Stoner Cup finalist is enjoying his first season with the A team after two successful years playing in the Wednesday league. Chris has started the campaign well with a 4-0 record so far.
